Ingredients
  

Basic Dough

  • 1 cup butter softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Instructions
 

  • In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until combined and a dough forms.
  • Preheat your waffle iron and spray it with non-stick spray.
  • Drop small scoops of dough (about a tablespoon each) onto the waffle iron.
  • Cook for 2-3 minutes or until golden brown and crisp.
  • Carefully remove the cookies and let them cool completely on a wire rack to crisp up.
  • Repeat until all the dough is used. Store cooled cookies in an airtight container.
