Ingredients
  

Sourdough Cookie Dough

  • 100 g active sourdough starter bubbly
  • 115 g butter melted
  • 150 g brown sugar
  • 50 g white sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 200 g all-purpose flour
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 200 g chocolate chips

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Mix sourdough starter, melted butter, brown sugar, white sugar, egg, and vanilla extract in a bowl until smooth.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
  • Gradually add dry ingredients to wet mixture and stir until just combined.
  • Fold in chocolate chips.
  • Scoop tablespoon-sized portions onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them evenly.
  • Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown on the edges.
  • Let cookies cool before serving.

Notes

For a tangier flavor, let the dough rest for 24 hours in the fridge before baking.
