Ingredients
  

Breadstick Dough

  • 1 package refrigerated pizza dough or homemade dough
  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp dried Italian herbs

Philly Cheesesteak Filling

  • 1/2 lb thinly sliced beef ribeye or sirloin recommended
  • 1 small onion sliced thin
  • 1 green bell pepper sliced thin
  • 8 slices provolone cheese or American cheese
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a skillet over medium-high heat, cook the sliced beef until browned. Remove and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, add onions and bell peppers. Sauté until soft. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Roll out the pizza dough into a large rectangle.
  • Layer the cheese slices evenly over the dough.
  • Spread the cooked beef, onions, and bell peppers evenly over the cheese.
  • Roll up the dough tightly and cut into 8 equal breadsticks.
  • Place the breadsticks seam-side down on the baking sheet.
  • Brush the tops with melted butter and sprinkle with garlic powder and Italian herbs.
  • Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
  • Let cool slightly before serving with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

For a spicier version, add red pepper flakes to the filling. You can also use different cheese varieties like mozzarella or pepper jack.
