Ingredients
  

Basic Ingredients

  • 4 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • 2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder optional for chocolate flavor
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder
  • 3 tbsp milk
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil or melted butter
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract

Optional Add-Ins

  • 1 tbsp chocolate chips, nuts, or fruit

Instructions
 

  • In a microwave-safe mug, whisk together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder (if using), baking powder, and salt.
  • Add the milk, oil (or melted butter), and vanilla extract. Stir until just combined. Do not overmix.
  • If desired, mix in chocolate chips, nuts, or fruit for extra flavor.
  • Microwave on high for 1 to 1.5 minutes. Check for doneness. If needed, microwave for another 15-30 seconds.
  • Let cool for a minute before enjoying. Serve with whipped cream, fruit, or a drizzle of chocolate sauce.

Notes

Experiment with different flavors by adding cinnamon, peanut butter, or caramel drizzle. Adjust cooking time based on your microwave's wattage.
