Instructions
Peel and shred the potatoes using a box grater or a food processor. Rinse the shredded potatoes in cold water to remove excess starch.
Pat the shredded potatoes dry using a clean kitchen towel or paper towels. This step is crucial for achieving a crispy texture.
In a large bowl, combine the shredded potatoes with olive oil, salt, pepper, and any optional seasonings. Mix well to ensure even coating.
Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (193°C) for about 5 minutes.
Place the seasoned potatoes in the air fryer basket in an even layer. Avoid overcrowding for the best results.
Cook for 10-15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through the cooking time. Adjust the cooking time based on your desired level of crispiness.
Once golden brown and crispy, carefully remove the hash browns from the air fryer and serve hot.
Notes
For extra crispiness, ensure the potatoes are completely dry before air frying.
