Instructions
 

  • Peel and shred the potatoes using a box grater or a food processor. Rinse the shredded potatoes in cold water to remove excess starch.
  • Pat the shredded potatoes dry using a clean kitchen towel or paper towels. This step is crucial for achieving a crispy texture.
  • In a large bowl, combine the shredded potatoes with olive oil, salt, pepper, and any optional seasonings. Mix well to ensure even coating.
  • Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (193°C) for about 5 minutes.
  • Place the seasoned potatoes in the air fryer basket in an even layer. Avoid overcrowding for the best results.
  • Cook for 10-15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through the cooking time. Adjust the cooking time based on your desired level of crispiness.
  • Once golden brown and crispy, carefully remove the hash browns from the air fryer and serve hot.

Notes

For extra crispiness, ensure the potatoes are completely dry before air frying.
